Fiber-reinforced Plastic

Fiber-reinforced plastics are a class of composite materials in which some of the shortcomings of the plastic, such as temperature limitations and resistance, are solved by its reinforcement with fibers of high module.

Reinforced plastics are used in a wide variety of areas, such as the automotive industry and corrosion-resistant equipment (plastic tanks, ships, etc.)

These polymer-matrix composites are produced with strong and rigid fibers and have high specific resistance and rigidity. Furthermore, structures produced with these materials have an enhanced resistance to fatigue and fluency when compared with steel-based structures.

PFML has a large experience of production in these materials, with its products ranging from kayaks/small boats to tourist sight-seeing trucks to roadside emergency telephones.
